Sujay Krishna Bhadra, known as 'Kalikghat ke Kaku,' remains hospitalized at Presidency Jail, preventing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from collecting his voice sample. Bhadra, who is being treated for a high fever, cold, and cough, was not presented in court on Wednesday, as confirmed by his lawyer. This delay marks the latest setback in the CBI's efforts to obtain a voice sample, a key piece of evidence in their ongoing investigation.
The CBI has previously attempted to collect Bhadra's voice sample on multiple occasions, with at least four or five failed attempts. On each occasion, Bhadra did not appear, and the investigations could not proceed. With Bhadra's health condition not showing improvement, the CBI has formally requested the court for permission to explore alternative methods of obtaining the voice sample.
Given Bhadra's continued hospitalization, the CBI is seeking a judicial order to bring him under medical supervision for the procedure. The agency has emphasized the need to collect the voice sample to further their investigation, as it remains crucial to the case. The court is expected to review the request, and the legal proceedings will continue as Bhadra’s health condition is closely monitored.
